Treatment options for varicose veins covering:

  • Endovenous laser treatment

The laser surgeon inserts a catheter into patients affected vein. Then injects a small laser through this catheter and place at the head of the targeted vein. The laser gives short energy bursts that heat up the vessel and closes it. The doctor attaches the inflamed vein, gradually burn and seal it.

  • Radiofrequency ablation

It is a less invasive method that uses radiofrequency heat energy to destroy affected vein wall and closes the vein. In this, surgeon delivers radiofrequency energy through a catheter by making a tiny hole in the vein. It takes short recovery time.

  • Foam sclerotherapy

Sclerotherapy or injection of a solution called a sclerosant that destroys the inner lining of the vein and results in blood clotting within the affected vein.

In foam sclerotherapy, the surgeon injects a small volume of the suspension into foam by accelerated mixing and agitation with a low amount of air. Then use this to treat the abnormal veins.

The process is performed with ultrasound control as the foam solution induces sharp contraction of the vein. Depending on the degree of varicose veins may need 2 or 3 sessions of treatment.

  • Phlebectomy

Ambulatory phlebectomy a minimally invasive procedure allows elimination of small veins with a small scalpel or needle. Phlebectomy produces small incisions in the skin nearby the varicose vein. The surgeon removes varicose vein by making several small incisions in the surface. It is an outpatient procedure and done by giving a dose of numbing agent.

  • MOCA(Mechanical occlusion & chemical ablation)

Liquid sclerosant is infused. A wire is rotated within a lumen@3500rpm.

  • Glue

It is a mechanical glue is known as Vena Seal (cyanoacrylate) to physically shut down and seal the main defective vessel. Once the vessel is glued(shut), it will undergo a process of hardening(sclerosis)and will be gradually absorbed by the body.
